Why Video Verification May Be Required for Account Security

Atlant Trade may request a short video verification as an extra security measure when documents and standard checks aren't enough to confirm a user's identity or authorize a sensitive transaction. It helps establish that the person accessing the account is the verified holder, and that an important action — like a withdrawal request — was submitted voluntarily.

Below: when video verification may come up, what it confirms, and how to complete it safely.

What Video Verification Is

Video verification is an identity and security check that may involve a live video call or a short recorded video, done according to instructions from an official Atlant Trade channel. Depending on the reason for the request, it may confirm:

  • That you're a real person
  • That you're present during verification
  • That you match the identity document submitted during KYC
  • That the account is being accessed by its verified owner
  • That a withdrawal or account change was requested voluntarily
  • That payment or wallet details belong to you
  • That you understand the action being authorized

It's not a trading assessment — you won't be asked to demonstrate trading knowledge or performance.

Why Documents Alone Aren't Always Enough

Identity documents remain a core part of verification, but they don't always confirm the submitter is the lawful owner. Extra checks may come up with:

  • Lost, stolen or borrowed documents
  • Altered or incomplete documents
  • Accounts opened with someone else's information
  • Suspected account takeover
  • Unusual login or withdrawal activity
  • Bank or wallet details that don't match the verified user
  • Multiple accounts tied to the same identity or payment method
  • Inconsistent verification information
  • Requests from an unfamiliar device or location

A live or recorded video adds a link between you, your identity document, and the account action being taken.

When Atlant Trade May Request a Video

Video verification may come up during registration or later, when an added security review is needed. Common reasons include:

  • Completing an enhanced identity check
  • Confirming a first withdrawal
  • Reviewing a high-risk or unusual transaction
  • Changing important account information
  • Adding new bank or crypto withdrawal details
  • Recovering access to an account
  • Detecting an unfamiliar device or location
  • Resolving a mismatch in identity information
  • Reviewing suspected fraud or unauthorized activity
  • Meeting applicable compliance or payment-provider requirements

A video request doesn't necessarily mean you've broken a rule — it's often just a preventive measure to protect the account and its funds.

What You May Be Asked to Do

The exact instructions depend on your account and the reason for the request. You may be asked to:

  • Show your face clearly
  • Confirm your full name
  • Confirm the current date
  • Present the requested ID document
  • State that you own and control the account
  • Confirm you personally submitted a withdrawal request
  • Confirm specific bank or wallet details
  • Repeat a short security phrase
  • Answer basic questions about recent account activity

Follow only instructions received through an official Atlant Trade channel.

What Atlant Trade Will Never Ask For

During video verification, representatives should never ask you to disclose:

  • Your account password
  • A full card number
  • A card PIN
  • A crypto wallet recovery phrase
  • A private crypto key
  • Remote device access
  • An authenticator backup code
  • An unrelated one-time code
  • A payment to a personal bank account or wallet

Never share a crypto recovery phrase or private key — these give direct control over a wallet and are never needed to verify ownership. If a request feels off, stop and contact official support.

How to Prepare

  • Use a device with a working camera and mic
  • Check your connection is stable
  • Choose a quiet, well-lit spot
  • Keep your face clearly visible
  • Remove sunglasses, masks or anything obscuring your face
  • Have your original ID ready and readable
  • Follow the instructions in your account
  • Skip filters or virtual backgrounds
  • Complete it without help from someone else

Don't send extra personal documents unless specifically requested through an official channel.

Why a Video Might Be Rejected

A recorded video may be rejected if:

  • Your face isn't clearly visible
  • The footage is too dark or blurry
  • The sound is missing or unclear
  • The ID can't be read
  • The video looks edited or interrupted
  • Someone else is speaking for you
  • The required statement is incomplete
  • The information doesn't match your profile
  • The recording doesn't follow the given instruction

If a submission can't be reviewed, you may be asked to record a new one.

Will I Need to Do This Again?

Video verification may only be needed once in many cases, but Atlant Trade can't guarantee it'll never be requested again. It may come up again if:

  • Important account information changes
  • A new withdrawal method is added
  • The account has been inactive a long time
  • A new security concern arises
  • Account access appears compromised
  • You request account recovery
  • Information no longer matches your original verification records
  • An applicable legal or payment-provider requirement changes

Repeat verification should only be requested for a legitimate security, compliance or operational reason.

How Your Video May Be Used

A verification video is used for legitimate purposes:

  • Confirming identity and liveness
  • Preventing account takeover
  • Reviewing a withdrawal
  • Investigating suspected fraud
  • Meeting compliance obligations
  • Protecting you and the platform
  • Keeping records of a security decision where required

Your video and related identity information are processed under the Atlant Trade Privacy Policy, applicable data-protection rules, and authorized retention procedures. Access is limited to personnel and service providers who need it for verification, security, compliance or legal purposes.

Verification vs. Promotional Use — Two Separate Things

A video submitted for identity or withdrawal verification isn't automatically a customer testimonial. Atlant Trade shouldn't publish a verification video, use it in advertising, or share it on Telegram, Instagram, YouTube or another public channel unless you've given separate, informed consent for that specific purpose.

Marketing consent has to be voluntary. Declining promotional use should never:

  • Prevent account verification
  • Cancel an otherwise valid withdrawal
  • Reduce access to platform services
  • Affect the outcome of a security review
  • Result in additional fees or penalties

If you do agree to promotional use, the consent process should explain where the video may appear, how it may be edited, and how you can withdraw consent later, subject to applicable legal limits.

What If I Don't Complete Verification?

If required verification stays incomplete, Atlant Trade may be unable to approve the affected withdrawal, account recovery request, or sensitive profile change. That action may stay pending or restricted until:

  • The required check is completed
  • An acceptable alternative is approved
  • Inconsistent information is corrected
  • A security/compliance review wraps up

An incomplete video verification doesn't automatically forfeit your account balance. Funds and withdrawal requests are handled under the Client Agreement, withdrawal conditions, identity-verification requirements, fraud-prevention procedures, and applicable law.

Accessibility and Technical Issues

If a disability, technical limitation, or other reasonable circumstance prevents you from completing the standard video process, contact support. Where operationally and legally possible, the platform may consider an alternative:

  • A supported live verification call
  • Additional identity documents
  • A different liveness process
  • Written confirmation with further security checks
  • Verification through an approved service provider

An alternative method may take longer and isn't guaranteed to be available in every case.

How Long Review Takes

Review time depends on:

  • Video quality
  • Accuracy of submitted information
  • The type of account action involved
  • Additional compliance checks needed
  • Staff availability
  • Payment-provider involvement
  • The complexity of the review

Submitting a video doesn't guarantee immediate approval — check your account and official channels for updates.

If your review is tied to a withdrawal, also see the IMPS and Cryptocurrency Withdrawal Safety Guidelines for details on choosing and verifying a withdrawal method.

Avoiding Verification Scams

Fraudsters impersonate trading platforms to request sensitive information. To protect yourself:

  • Access Atlant Trade only through the official website or app
  • Check the sender's address before responding
  • Avoid verification links from unknown sources
  • Never share passwords, private keys or recovery phrases
  • Don't install remote-access software at someone's request
  • Never pay a separate "verification fee" to an individual
  • Contact official support about anything that looks unusual
  • Report any verification request you didn't initiate

If you get an unexpected video-verification request, confirm it's genuine before sharing anything.

Final Reminder

Video verification is a security tool to confirm identity, prevent account misuse, and protect sensitive transactions. Follow official instructions only, provide accurate information, and never disclose passwords, private keys, or wallet recovery phrases.

Identity verification and promotional consent are separate — a verification video shouldn't be made public or used in advertising without your separate, informed permission. Questions or can't complete the process? Contact official Atlant Trade support.
